Auditions

Take Part

We hold open auditions every year for children and young people to take part in our Wakefield Youth Music Theatre shows and our Pantomime chorus. By joining our Performance Academy, you will also have a chance to perform on our stage.

Our annual pantomime is the biggest event of the year at Theatre Royal Wakefield. 2025’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk played to more than 27,500 audience members. The chorus, made up of local young people, plays a crucial role in making the show spectacular. The schedule is tough and requires commitment and discipline, but it is also a brilliant opportunity to perform alongside and work with a professional cast and crew.

Beauty And The Beast - 24 November 2026 - 3 January 2027
