Help us to carry on our work in the community
At over 125 years old, Theatre Royal Wakefield holds the memories of thousands from the Wakefield district and further afield.
What’s your favourite memory of the Theatre?
Ours is you. Without your support, we wouldn’t have been able to provide so many people with the joy and wonder that comes from experiencing live theatre.
If you would like to continue supporting Theatre Royal Wakefield and ensuring we are able to provide future generations with the same magical memories, please consider leaving us a gift in your will. Every gift is greatly appreciated and can play a huge part in the future of Theatre Royal Wakefield.
My family and I are very proud to be supporters of Theatre Royal Wakefield. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it has played a huge part in my life. I started my acting career at this beautiful theatre and have made lifelong friends along the way. My son has begun to share in the passion for theatre through the remarkable work undertaken by the Performance Academy team. Long may it continue.
As Theatre Royal Wakefield is a registered charity, leaving a gift in your will to the Theatre is exempt from inheritance tax and any gift, regardless of size, will go a long way to support the work we do. Anyone who leaves 10% or more of their net estate to charity can also benefit from a reduced inheritance tax rate of 36% (normally 40%).
If you choose to remember us in your will, please ensure that you use our full name, registered address, and charity number: Wakefield Theatre Trust, Drury Lane, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2TE. Registered Charity Number: 503597.
We promise that your gift will be gratefully received and effectively used, no matter its size.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of leaving a gift in your will, in the strictest confidence, please contact Poppy Wille, Development & Events Officer.
