Theatre Royal Wakefield is delighted to announce that the cast of its upcoming Wakefield Youth Music Theatre performance, The Band, has been selected.
A talented group of more than 30 young performers, many of whom have progressed through Theatre Royal Wakefield’s Performance Academy, or previously appeared in Wakefield Youth Music Theatre (WYMT) productions including Guys & Dolls, Evita, School of Rock, and West Side Story, will take part in the performance which is scheduled to run from 19 - 29 August.
The Band will be directed and choreographed by Louise Denison, with musical direction by Jim Lunt, a creative team known for nurturing young performers while delivering high-quality, dynamic productions. Together, they will guide the cast through the intensive rehearsal process.
This production highlights the strength of Theatre Royal Wakefield’s youth pathways, celebrating the development of young artists who continue to grow through repeated opportunities on a professional theatre stage.
