Leave a Gift in Your Will

If you love Theatre Royal Wakefield, and want to help to ensure that it continues to thrive in the future, you may wish to consider leaving a gift to the Theatre in your will. A gift of just 1% of your estate can play a huge part in ensuring that Theatre Royal Wakefield can continue to give future generations as much joy as it has given you over the years and can be a special way to commemorate something that you care about.

For many, our theatre is a special place. For some, it feels like home; for others it is a place of fun and exploration; and for many it holds a lifetime of memories.

As Theatre Royal Wakefield is a registered charity, leaving a gift in your will to the Theatre is exempt from inheritance tax and any gift regardless of size will go a long way to support the work we do. Anyone who leaves 10% or more of their net estate to charity can also benefit from a reduced Inheritance Tax rate of 36% (normally 40%).

If you choose to remember us in your will, please ensure that you use our full name, registered address and charity number: Wakefield Theatre Trust, Drury Lane, Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF1 2TE, charity number: 503597. We promise that your gift will be gratefully received and effectively used, no matter what its size.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of leaving a gift in your will in the strictest confidence, please contact Sarah Shooter, Head of Fundraising & Partnerships on 01924 334 116, or email sarah.shooter@theatreroyalwakefield.co.uk.
