Connor Elliott

Age: 11

What do you do?
Sing a lot, well actually most of the time, also act and dance and I am learning to play the piano. I got my first professional role as Bengi working along Jason Donovan in the National tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert in 2013. I have been cast in many theatre roles and worked on CBBC’s Gigglebiz and I am currently starring in Gogglesprogs for Channel 4.

What shows/training did you take part in at Theatre Royal Wakefield and when?
I got my first shot at being on the stage aged six due to the Performance Academy doing yearly showcases, which are such fun! Then I auditioned and got a part in Oliver in 2014 and most recently I was delighted to be a part of the ensemble for the spectacular Jesus Christ Superstar in 2016.

How did being involved with Theatre Royal Wakefield make a difference?
I joined the Performance Academy at five years old and that really was the catalyst for my theatrical pursuits - I just fell in love with performing. The teachers are true professionals and experienced mentors (the best in my opinion). My time at Performance Academy was just the best, they taught me all I know and helped me gain confidence as a young child.
