Theatre Royal Wakefield is delighted to be a validated Learning Destination for The Children’s University, encouraging and celebrating the participation of 5-14 year olds in extra-curricular activities in and outside of school.
Children are given their own ‘Passport to Learning’ in which they are encouraged to collect hours of learning towards awards for 30, 65 and 100 hours of learning.
If you are 5 - 14 years old and have a Children’s University Passport you can get a stamp from our members of staff for coming to a number of different activities including:
- A range of shows: Have a look at our What’s On pages and if you see this logo on the page for that show then it means that you can get a stamp from our staff. Our staff will want to ask you what you thought of the show so have a think!
- Performance Academy and Performance Academy Kidz: please speak to our Learning and Participation Officer Gavin for a stamp
- If you are a performer in our Wakefield Youth Music Theatre shows or our pantomime then we can give you stamps for your passport! Again, please speak to Gavin.
