Set against the backdrop of a supermarket, with toe-tapping popular songs, Checkout Girls is a play that follows the trials and tribulations of the supermarket staff during the run up to a singles night.
Shy Shelly, who takes care of her agoraphobic mother Pam, tries to get along with the other two checkout girls, the feisty Shaz and the not so bright Tammy. While the sardonic Sylvia is responsible for keeping the girls in check, Malcolm the cleaner is never too far away to offer a few words of wisdom.
Another evening of song, dance, tears and laughter from the author of Girls' Night.
