This seminar will be an opportunity to hear leading architects and consultants giving illustrated talks on the successes and challenges faced when setting out to restore theatres to meet the needs and expectations of the 21st century.
The programme for the day will include a general overview on the subject given by Mike Sell, author of the Theatres Trust Guide to British Theatres, followed by presentations on the plans for Theatre Royal Wakefield and three other theatres in the North of England. The day will conclude with an open forum session.
The seminar will be chaired by John Earl, former Director of the Theatres Trust and now a freelance consultant specialising in theatre conservation.
