Theatre Royal Wakefield is for everyone in the district. That’s why we areproud to present work from our local community, societies and groups. Book these shows to see local talent on stage, or if you fancy treading the boards yourself, get in touch with one of the societies using the details provided.

The play tells the story of the players, officials and the fans who went to the 1968 RL Challenge Cup Final and addresses life’s big questions such as: if we have to make our own meaning in a cold, empty universe- who would try to do it by becoming a Rugby League referee?

Funny and thought-provoking, the play deals with much more than just the game.
