Wakefield Youth Music Theatre return with the smash hit musical West Side Story. Jam packed with vibrant musical numbers including ‘America’, ‘Maria’ and ‘I Feel Pretty’, West Side Story is still a favourite after more than five decades.
Originally set in the mid 1950’s, this new production is from the same team that brought you High School Musical, Boogie Nights and Footloose. The show features all the energetic dance routines, dazzling costumes and flawless musical arrangements that you have come to know and love. Set in New York City and based on Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, West Side Story explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks. The musical follows the two main characters Tony and Maria, young lovers from opposite sides of the street war.
Don’t miss the stars of tomorrow in this exciting new production.
