There is ample car parking around Theatre Royal Wakefield. During the day this operates on a pay and display basis. In the evening (after 6pm) some car parks may not charge: please be sure to check the signs at each car park.
**Construction Works**
Please note that from 1 to 12 March 2010 traffic management measures will be in place on Westgate and access to the front of the theatre will be severely restricted between the hours of 19.00 and 06.30. Parking off Smyth Street should not be affected.
Travelling
from North, East and West
Parking is available in the Drury Lane car park as
well as various other smaller car parks that are clearly signposted.
Travelling
from South
Car parking is available immediately opposite the theatre on the
Westgate Smyth Street crossroads. Enter these just before you reach the traffic
lights!
Coach Parking
After dropping off your party outside the main entrance
to Theatre Royal Wakefield carry forward up Westgate. Turn right by Subway
Sandwich Shop. At the junction go down the hill to the roundabout by Sainsburys.
Turn right and follow the road through the first set of traffic lights, pass
PC World and take slip road (immediately on your right). Turn right up Westgate
keeping in right hand lane. At next set of traffic lights (50 yards) bear right
and the coach/lorry park is on your left hand side.
