Sales Assistant

To provide an excellent service to our customers to enhance their experience of the theatre. The role involves selling tickets and dealing with booking enquiries using a computerised system, inbound and outbound telephone calls, administrative duties, cash handling and serving hot drinks and refreshments in our café/bar.

Cultural Destinations Project Manager

The Wakefield Cultural Consortium seeks a driven and experienced project manager to deliver an Arts Council England funded Cultural Destinations programme.

Wakefield’s outstanding cultural and visitor offer has the potential to become an important national and international cultural destination for the north of England.

The Wakefield Cultural Consortium is a collective of Wakefield-based cultural organisations, visitor attractions and local businesses which are committed to working together and with Wakefield Council to promote the Wakefield District as a leading cultural destination nationally and internationally. Supported by a £223,000 grant from Arts Council England’s Cultural Destinations initiative, the Consortium is delivering a three-year programme, which started in 2017, to enhance the profile of Wakefield and encourage visitors to the district, helping to grow the local economy and increase job opportunities.

We are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to drive the Cultural Destinations project to the conclusion of the programme in March 2020. The role is offered on a part time basis providing at least 24 hours (3 days) a week for the duration of the programme. The post holder will be appointed in a freelance capacity and will be responsible for tax and NI. This post attracts a day rate of £300.
